Cave protection zones – Podbanište Cave

The Podbanište Cave is located in the district Rimavská Sobota and in the territory of Slizké village. It is the longest and most examined cave of the Drienčanský karst with outstanding geomorfological, hydrogeological and zoological values.

Generally binding regulation to declare the protection zone of the national nature monument:

GENERALLY BINDING REGULATION

The Regional Office for the Environment in Banská Bystrica
no. 4/2005 of December 8, 2005,
which declares the protection zone of the
Podbanište Cave national nature monument

The Regional Office for the Environment in Banská Bystrica according to the § 24 sections 8 and 21 of the act no. 543/2002 of the Legal Codes on nature and landscape protection (further on only „act“) and § 7 section 2 of the act no. 525/2003 of the Legal Codes on state administration of the environment and on change and amendments of some acts enacts:

§ 1
Subject of protection of the national nature monument Podbanište Cave
  1. The protection zone of the national nature monument Podbanište Cave (further on only „protection zone of the national nature monument“) is declared.
  2. The subject of protection in the protection zone of the national nature monument are the sensitive cave geosystems.
  3. The conditions for protection are in force on the territory of protection zone of the national nature monument according to § 24 sections 9 and 10 of the act.
§ 2
Demarcation of borders of the national nature monument protection zone
  1. The national nature monument protection zone is located in Rimavská Sobota district, in the cadastral territory Slizké on plots no. 1985/1/2 (arable land), 269, 1807, 1921/0/4 (gardens), 288, 290, 1660/1 part, 1740, 1785, 1794, 1816, 1828, 1830, 1838, 1857/1, 1857/2, 1857/3, 1860/1, 1860/2, 1874, 1901, 1921/0/1, 1921/0/2, 1921/0/3, 1985/1/3, 1985/2, 2013/1, 2059, 2084, 2104, 2115, 2176, 2177, 2192/1, 2192/2 (permanent grassy growths), 1775, 1819/1, 1819/2, 1819/3, 1819/4, 1871, 1873, 1919, 1965, 2165 part, 2172, 2175, 2180, 2191, 2197, 2198, 2205 part (forest areas), 47, 73, 2013/2, 2224 part, 2225, 2226, 2227, 2229, 2231, 2241 (built-up areas), 1808, 1817/1, 1817/2, 1817/3, 1819/5, 1880 a 1985/1/1 (other areas) according to the cadastral map M 1: 2880 with state to February 17, 2003.
  2. The national nature monument protection zone covers the area of 168,5265 ha.
  3. The national nature monument protection zone is marked in the field according to the cadastral map in scale M 1 : 2880 with state to February 17, 2003 and forest stand map M 1 : 10 000, which is a part of the forest management plan on the forest management unit Brádno with state to January 1, 2003 and Ratková with state to January 1, 1997.
§ 3
Marking and indication of the national nature monument protection zone
  1. The borders of the national nature monument protection zone will be marked in the land registry. The maps with plotted borders of the national nature monument protection zone are together with this regulation and other documentation stored and available for inspection in the state list of individually protected parts of nature and landscape at the Regional Office for the Environment in Banská Bystrica, at the Slovak Caves Administration in Liptovský Mikuláš, at the Peripheral Office for the Environment in Rimavská Sobota and at the Municipal Office in Slizké.
  2. Indication of the national nature monument protection zone in the field will be provided by the Slovak Caves Administration within six months from the date of effectiveness of this regulation.
§ 4
Effectiveness

This regulation is effective from January 1, 2006.
