Domica Cave

Close to the state boundary with Hungary there is the Domica Cave, forming a single genetic unit with the Hungarian Baradla Cave. Except for the typical flowstone shields, drums and rimstone lakes, the visitors admire underground boat ride on the Styx River.

Underground boat trip in Domica Cave available again.

Due to favourable conditions of underground water the boat trip in Domica Cave is again available from 23rd of March 2013.

Today, 21. May 2013, is the Domica Cave open between 9:30 - 14:00.
Regular admissions are at 9:30, 11:00, 12:30, 14:00.

Enjoy the exciting underground boat ride in the cave

Domica Cave is the most known and longest cave of the Slovak Karst National Park. Except for important geomorphological features, it is interesting by precious archaeological findings, occurrence of flowstone shields and drums, as well as numerous bat species presence. The cave belongs in the world heritage site „The Caves of Slovak and Aggtelek Karst“.
