Bystrianska Valley
A valley important for tourism on the southern side of the Low Tatras, through which the brook Bystrianka flows. The valley is bordered by the hills Baba (1,617 m), Pálenica (1,653 m), Dereše (2,003 m), Chopok (2,023 m), Ďumbier (2,043 m) and Veľký Gápeľ (1,776 m). The Bystrá Valley widens about 4 km in front of the mountain village Bystrá into a wide belt of meadows called Tále. Tále originally meant a local name for parts of meadows and today it is one of the most visited centres of tourism in the Low Tatras.

Važecká Cave
Located in the Važecký Karst on the contact of the Kozie chrbty with the Liptovská Basin, on the western edge of the Važec village between the Liptovský Mikuláš and Poprad.
Dobšinská Ice Cave
Located on the south-western edge of the Slovak Paradise National Park in the Spiš-Gemer Karst. Cave entrance is on the northern slope of the Duča Hill at elevation of 969 m, 130 m above the bottom of the Hnilec valley.
Demänovská Ice Cave
Located on the right side of the Demänová Valley, in the northern part of the Low Tatras, in national nature reserve Demänovská Valley within the territory of the Low Tatras National Park.

Harmanecká Cave
The Harmanecká Cave national nature monument is the best known cave of the Great Fatra. It is located in the territory of the Harmanec Karst with two other caves not open for public - Horná and Dolná Túfna Cave, where the bones of ancient animals were found.
Dead Bats Cave
Located in the heart of Slovakia in the central part of the Low Tatras mountain ridge in the Ďumbier high mountain karst (1,750 m above sea). Relatively small, deeply folded limestone massif of the Kozie Chrbty 2 km long and only 300 m wide, contains in its bowels a multitude of passages in so far known 14 levels and two parallel branches. The largest underground space – the Bystrický Dome, is located on the 7th level at 180 m depth, and its volume reaches 52,500
m3.
Pohronie
The region is attractive by beautiful nature that offers numerous possibilities for relax all the year round. Hikers can visit the Low Tatras national park, national nature reserve Badín Primaeval Forest, Harmanec Yew Stand, Great Fatra national park. The environs of the Banská Bystrica city is interweaved with a network of cycling routes suitable for both sportsmen and freetime cyclists. The region stands out by excellent conditions for horseback riding, downhill and crosscountry skiing as well as extreme sports fans.

Čierny Balog
Čiernohronská railway, nowadays a state cultural monument, was restored and brought back to operation on May 11, 1992. At present, a 12 km section of the original small forest railway is reconstructed from Čierny Balog to Hronec and Vydrovská Valley, with its own museum established in the station in Čierny Balog. The railway is a part of it and serves for seasonal tourist operation, idyllic ride by original train, ideal not only for families with children.
